This place offers a comfortable setting close to cafes, pubs, bars, a food court, and it's just a 10-minute walk to Cheong Fatt Tze.

The location was favourable as for me, adjacent to food court to have breakfast or lunch, the township, and good food restaurants. The bed was fine, and the room itself was comfortable. The staff was very pleasant and I appreciated their great work...

Ideal location.
The service is the worst I ever seen. I have been requesting hair dryer the time I make booking. But when I check in, there is no hair dryer and not even towel. I have been calling the counter for 3 times, but noone send hair dryer to my room! At the end, I have to go to the counter to claim hair dryer and the worst thing is the hair dryer only can be rent for 1 hour. They didn't mention in their website at all. Understand that this is budget hotel, but earlier information enable tourists to prepare the things that not provided by the hotel. Secondly will be the cleanliness of the hotel. The furniture is very dusty and I have nose allergic once I enter the room! And there are stains on the wall. Bed, pillow and blanket are so smelly. All this make me feel extremely uncomfortable! Last but not least is the total price that I have to pay. They charge me extra myr20 the time I pay with credit card. This is not informed to me earlier. I am very unsatisfy with it. I will not go back to this hotel anymore.

The staff were relatively nice but really. The hotel was clean and tidy.
The staff lacked knowledge for visitors around where you should go, what you should see, and where good places are to eat. It is not a quiet hotel as sound travels and no breakfast is provided unless the hotel is full then the manager buys breakfast for everyone and you find it hanging on your door. Not conveniently located for tourists however you can get around by walking - about 20 mins to town and 30 mins to the waterfront.

The rooms here are spacious, newly furnished, and come equipped with a hairdryer in the bathroom.

Tops for unlimited free wifi in the room and free parking. Many notches better than the no-frills Tune Hotel that is a stone's throw away from here. Hotel staff esp the Front Office manager was exceptionally helpful and very friendly. When I needed a city map, the staff immediately gave me one, unlike Tune Hotel who does not even have a simple map to give away. When it rained, the staff promptly lend me an umbrella with the promise that I'll return it after use. Included in the room are water kettle, coffee+tea, water and tv. Hair dryer is also free for the asking which they let you keep till you checkout. Therefore, I don't mind paying a just a few more dollars for Georgetown Hotel over the cold sterile Tune Hotel.
The room is small, equal in size to Tune Hotel. If you have two fat guys and it'll be very squeezy. Walls are stained with black blotches of I don't know what. The bathroom cum toilet is really small with no partition between the bathroom and the toilet. When you bath, the entire area gets wet. This time, one fat guy would not fit into the bathroom. I guessed if you are fat, you would not be able to get into the lift in the first place. Three skinny guys are a crowd in the lift. Sorry no offense to fat people. But I just mention it here to give you a sense of space (or rather a lack of space).

Overall a brilliant hotel, great staff and I would highly recommend a say here,
The only bad thing I could say about this hotel was that you could hear the doors being opened/closed quite easily. However this was only really a problem during the daytime hours ( I'm assuming it was when staff where cleaning the rooms.)

We had a great stay in this city thanks to the hotel's convenient location. Getting food and accessing activities was easy as it is located off a main road. Besides, transportation was inexpensive, as we took the Grab car to Armenian street for only RM5. Furthermore, we enjoyed the room's spacious bed and the fact that the check-in procedure was quick and easy. Lastly, the morning front desk girl was helpful and friendly, making our stay even better.
Could not be improved in any way.

Good location and cheap budget hotel. Friendly and helpful staff.
Cleaniness and hygiene of the hotel could be improved. I could see dust on the telephone and dirt in the bathroom.
